Portal Review Tips French-property.com

Thursday 15 October 2009

French-property.com has received strong praise in a recent independent review of on-line international property portals.

The review comes from the Internet trade website Globaledge who provide advice to estate agents and developers on how to improve their on-line performance.

In their consideration of the outlook for country specific property websites, Globaledge stated that, in the wake of the economic downturn, ‘There will be some consolidation, and a few new entrants will probably lose their shirts, but this group will be around for the foreseeable future.'

French-property.com is the only French property portal in the review to receive such a commendation.

The news provides continued affirmation of French-property.com as the leading Anglophone site for the sale and renting of properties in France, with a presence on the Internet that is the envy of its competitors.

Despite the current downturn in the French property market, over the past year the number of visitors to the site has increased by over 20%, while the number of enquiries has also risen by an impressive 16%.

‘There continues to be strong interest in relocating to France’, says Pat Monk, Managing Director of French-property.com. ‘Although the exchange rate has slowed down activity over the past couple of years, it is gradually being offset by the fall in French house prices.’

Ashley Rigg, Managing Director of Globaledge added, ‘French-property.com ranks highly in Google searches for most terms associated with buying property in France, and the site has a wide and comprehensive selection of properties across France.’

As well as advertising thousands of properties for sale and rent, French-property.com is the market leader in the provision of practical on-line information about buying property and living in France.
