Quiet rural position. Nearest town Herisson (8kms) Medieval village with shops, restaurants, tabac and post office. Cosne (19kms) and Cerilly (12.5 kms)both have usual supermarkets, banks etc. Montlucon (30 minutes)is the closest big centre for large DIY, hypermarkets etc.
Forest of Troncais is less than a mile away and is one of the largest oak forest in Europe with plenty of activities. There is plenty of cultural events across the region.

Nearest airport is Clermont Ferrand 1.5 hours)or Limoges (2 hours).
Trains to Paris from Moulins or Vallon sur Sully.

The interior has a large living room, with original flagstone floors. Large wood burner and an electric heater. There is TV aerial and landline, plus very good internet access.
