The grounds though extensive are mostly laid to lawn with shrubs and trees that can be fairly easily maintained. There is an orchard with abundant fruit trees. The woodland around the perimeter has paths for walking the land with one in particular, "West Point", a favourite place for watching sunsets over the countryside.

The airports of Toulouse and Bordeaux can be reached in 1hr 30 minutes and 1hr 45 minutes respectively.
