There are markets most mornings of the week in surrounding villages, selling the best of the local produce. The Lot region takes great pride in its culinary traditions and there are many restaurants to enjoy, ranging from crêperies/ pizzerias to Michelin starred gourmet eating. In July and August most local towns put on a weekly Soirée Gourmande where local producers sell melon, salads, grilled meats, frites, cheeses and wine to locals and tourists alike who eat at communal tables in the village square.
Bergerac and Brive Airports are 1h20mins drive away, whilst Toulouse is just under 2hrs. The TGV stops at both Cahors and Agen. It’s now possible to get the Eurostar from London to Agen, with a stop at Paris.
