The closest amenities are in the quiet little village called Coulouvray Boisbenâtre, which is around 2km from the house.  This is where you’d head to for the morning bread run and there are also 2 bars/bistros and a small store for daily essentials.  Also worth noting in the area is the forest of Saint Sever, which is about a 10min drive from the house and where you’ll find some great walking trails.  

The nearest ferry port is a Caen Ouistreham, a drive of about an hour, Calais ferry port is  journey of around 4 hours and the nearest train station would be the one at Villedieu-les-Poêles.
