The village of Les Allues is part of the Méribel ski area with access to 150km of downhill skiing, with 74 individual pistes, served by 61 ski lifts. From here you can ski to Méribel centre, Méribel Les Hauts, Méribel Mottaret and Méribel village. With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Méribel is the oldest village in the famous 3 Valleys ski area and is at the heart of the region. The village has a full range of facilities in a traditional Savoyard setting. It has many medieval buildings and an authentic atmosphere with many of the chalets built from wood and stone. Méribel has a good selection of shops and restaurants. The skiing is second to none with access to all of the 3 Valleys via a superb network of lifts and gondolas. Skiing is just one of the winter activities, though, as the resort offers ice-skating, mono-skiing, snowshoeing, parasailing, hang-gliding and much more. Once the snow has melted, there are many summer sports to enjoy including rafting, cycling, climbing, walking hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, indoor and outdoor swimming and many more. There is a vibrant nightlife with bars, discos and many restaurants to choose from. Méribel also has a cinema, a concert hall and a library.

The nearest international airports are at Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon. The TGV station is in Moûtiers and there is a motorway junction close by.
