Gérardmer is a town of the Vosges department, in the Lorraine region, north east of France. It is sometimes nicknamed the lakes valley as it is home to numerous lakes in its surroundings. It accounts for 8,845 inhabitants. Gerardmer is an attractive place amongst foreigners who buy a second home there.
