There are numerous restaurants to choose from and the fresh produce market comes to town twice a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays. La Rochelle is an hour away, as is the coast and the nearest airport. St Malo ferry port is a 3.5 hour drive. Other towns, villages and attractions in the area that are well worth exploring include Vouvant, La Châtaigneraie, Puy du Fou, and Luçon which is the nearest railway station.
